Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble

Project Overview

Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble is a bite-sized 3D animated comedy-adventure series inspired by the world of Angry Birds Dream Blast. The first season features young versions of Red, Bomb, Chuck, Stella and Silver as they let their imaginations run wild in a beautiful bubble garden filled with surprises, games and playful chaos.

With 20 episodes of one minute each, the series was designed as a fast, energetic and highly visual experience for kids. Each short episode turns a simple game or problem into a burst of comedy, imagination and character-driven fun, capturing the spirit of the Angry Birds franchise in a fresh preschool-friendly format.

General Concept

At the heart of Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble is the idea of childhood imagination without limits. Instead of focusing on the classic bird-versus-pig conflict, the series places the young flock inside a dreamy bubble garden where they play, explore, invent games and get into all kinds of trouble together.

The result is a softer, more playful take on the Angry Birds universe. The characters remain expressive, mischievous and full of personality, but the tone is lighter, more whimsical and built around friendship, curiosity and visual comedy.

A Latin American Animation Hub

Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble was produced through Los Amigos, a Latin American animation hub that connects studios and creative talent across the region. The series brought together Hype Animation in Brazil, PunkRobot in Chile and Red Animation Studio in Peru. Explore Los Amigos at www.losamigos.tv ↗.

The project became the first official production under the Los Amigos brand. The collaboration had been built from previous shared experiences, especially the preschool series Guitar & Drum, which helped the studios align pipelines, communication methods and creative workflows before taking on a global IP like Angry Birds.

Creative Process

The creative process behind Bubble Trouble combined the strength of a globally recognized IP with the perspective of three Latin American animation studios. As Los Amigos, Hype Animation, PunkRobot and Red Animation Studio were involved not only in the animation production, but also in the writing and development of the short-form stories.

The goal was to honor the personality and humor of the Angry Birds brand while bringing a fresh, playful and visually charming approach to the Dream Blast universe. Each one-minute episode was designed to work as a complete comic idea, relying on sharp visual storytelling, strong character performance and precise comedic timing.

Visual Style

The visual style of Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble is bright, rounded and playful, in line with the soft appeal of Angry Birds Dream Blast. The bubble garden is not only a location, but the emotional identity of the series: a safe, colorful and flexible world where anything can happen.

The design language favors readability, charm and movement. Bubbles, soft shapes, saturated colors and elastic animation helped create a world that feels lighthearted and full of surprise, while keeping the characters instantly recognizable to fans of the Angry Birds franchise.
